The Science Department at Berkmar has course offerings that challenge any learner. Our goal at Berkmar is to teach, train, and activate the student in all three areas of science: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. We offer AP courses in all three areas as well as AP Environmental Science. Curriculum elective courses include Astronomy, Anatomy & Physiology, Forensics, and Micro-Biology.
We strive to make the teaching of science a living transfer of ideas of the past and present to spur action beyond inquiry. Our teachers facilitate this by using common, clear, contextual language that stretches, encourages, and enriches the learner.
